Pointless.

I just don't see a point to have shadows like that, unless it involves characters falling and stuff.

Again, I stress, this is pointless.

Meh guess I'm lazy. I prefer giving a drop shadow. Meh to each their own.

@G.B.A: Your comment is pointless. I don't remember her saying in the comments" Specifically for G.B.A" dumbass.

Ladies, please stop fighting. Anyway, I think it can be used any time, it just depends on if someone wants to constantly make special effects in their comics or not. Also nice tutorial.

Thanks for this, Niv. Now I can use it for my update on CR since I need shadows for it.

@Kurona: It's actually quite easy. I can confirm this due to the fact I am a mac-user as well.

Also, why can't people understand that you gotta experiment to learn some things yourself as well?

You could actually extrapolate on this and add depth as the shadow gets further from the source, it becomes lighter.

I normally just prefer to make an oval, just to separate my characters' feet from the ground, as I've found that otherwise my characters' feet blend in. I guess it's just the cost of my style? I might as well try out this way of doing shadows in my comics sometime; I don't have Photoshop, but I think I know how to do something like this in the program I use.

@G.B.A: If I see another outburst like that, and you're out of here.

@Princess_Eevee9: The same goes to you for provoking him. Both of you can be barred from commenting or otherwise interacting with this comic. You'll have to take your childish arguments elsewhere.

Both of you claim to be adults. Act like it.

I personally use shadow blobs over full shadows as the backgrounds won't agree with me.

But that's just me
