I guess that's not a bad idea.

That's a pretty good idea you got there, Muddy. Some of the things with Sega's sprites annoy me.

@Gatamigo: Oh. But I've never seen one. Also, I was not going to leave them the way they were. For all of the work Sega has done on these sprites, there is a lot of improvement that could be done. For example, I don't like the black outlines on the sprite. I would change them to colored outlines. I'd also make colors that should be different, like tail's fur, eyes, and gloves, actually different. Why the heck would I just re-sheet. That's lazy. I would also make sure that everything has at LEAST three shades. Do you know how annoying it is to me that Amy's Dress has only two shades? Very. Finally, I would have comprehensive notes on each sprite, the difference between advance and battle, why I have some sprites and not others, etc.

I know where you can find some Amy poses.

@Gatamigo: If he were to do that it would be a waste of time. Muddy is smarter than that. ;P ~

If it's not re-sheeting, then don't call it re-sheeting.

What you're talking about with changing the shading and outlining. I'm not really sure what you'd call it. Remastering or refreshing maybe, but make it clear that you're doing more than organizing existing sprites differently.

Also, not to sound like a blunt asshole, but no one is seriously going to read or care about your comprehensive notes on the sprite sheets. If you made notes on spriting as a practice itself, that's one thing, but I don't see anyone seriously caring about what you think of each individual pose. Spriting is a hobby, not a college course.

@Zmanwarrior: True. True. I didn't know what else to call it. Okay then. I'm really just explaining my changes.

Right. I didn't want to sound mean because you've been making good progress, but I might as well let my thoughts go so you know.

No one is seriously going to read or care about your comprehensive notes on the sprite sheets. If you made notes on spriting as a practice itself, that's one thing, but I don't see anyone seriously caring about what you think of each individual pose. Spriting is a hobby, not a college course.

I've also taken an issue with you before that I've been lenient about, but I might as well come out with it. (Scar, you pay attention to this too.) You have a habit of hogging a large fraction of the top pages with your extremely frequent posts, often of minor edits to things you've already put up. I understand that you're looking to improve, but you can post your progress on a particular sprite in the comment section of that page. If we're dishing out crit, we're going to want to check back and see how you've reacted to it, so we're going to be looking at the comment section.

Now, this is a habit that we all have had early on, and you're definitely improving in that regard (if someone talked to you about it then I didn't see) but try to keep that in mind.

The notes are meant to differentiate between the two styles. And I will stop posting unless I made something new, etc.
@Zman: I said on every post that if I was posting too much, someone should tell me. Nobody told me. Therefore, I assumed I was not posting too much.
