Don't second guess yourself unless you feel deep down that it should be something else~

@Muddykip64

You can be a fox, you can be a cat, you can be an alien creature from the planet whatmacallit.

But in the end, it all depends on you. What do you want?

@darkthehedgehog53: Poofy tail. Yep.
@senalcoolage: Ah. Your reputation precedes you. Would you like fries with that? :3 Oh, and that's Cream's head, btw.
@xXCamTroXx: Don't worry. I know who he is.
@G.B.A: I'm not sure what I want, actually. I don't care whether I'm a fox or a cat.

@Muddykip64: He resembles a jackal, actually.

"Muddy the Jackal" actually sounds pretty catchy.

You guys think he looks like a Jackal? http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/f/f4/Jackal_Cape_cross_2009.JPG/800px- Jackal_Cape_cross_2009.JPG

@xXCamTroXx Actually, he shouldn't ignore him, as he...kind of has a point. Most of this is just going over sonics pose with colors changed to the shades, with a too circular head with the same ears copy and pasted on, then tails tale added. In my opinion, he could do SO much better, but thats neither here nor there.

as for the Jackal thing, I suppose he does, but as it's still a member of the canine family, thats like saying he looks like an artic fox, or any large dog with a fluffy tail (which is nearly all of them), but it's better than saying he's a cat.

You used to be nice.
Now you are cynical.
I wish I hadn't defended you when you were a newbie.

@spark th: Tell me now. What in this community ISN'T going over another sprite with a head on it and stuff like that. Except custom sprites, but I'm not on that level yet. Heck, I'm really still a noob spriter. But, and this is the first time I have ever said this, I absolutely LOVE how he turned out. But yeah.

@Muddykip64: I don't really know you or anyone else on here but either way i think you're doing better then me. I'm still learning myself and think you're doing fine.

@senalcoolage: Listen ik this isn't any of my business but you need to stop acting like a baka-sama (stupid harsh jerk if you prefer), stop using harsh criticsm, and start using nice criticsm.

@Muddykip64 for starters, most edits actually add their own clothing, which isn't going over pre-existing lines and adding different colors. you're getting there with the ears, but thats REALLY not good enough.

As for the whole "oh, I'm a noob, so I no custom", I would like to disagree there. My third sprite ever, was a custom. a shitty custom, but a custom none the less. the only way you'll move away from stuff is by EXPERIMENTING. whilst I accept that you may not feel comfortable with doing stuff like that yet, you have to at least TRY, instead of throwing the noob card around.

I accept, he looks good. but he could be so much god damn better, if you put in MORE effort.

@spark th: I don't deny that I could do better. And I WILL make a custom. I just don't feel ready for it JUST yet.

I was being lazy since I want to start my comic on 10/27, my SJ anniversery. But I guess that can wait. And if it can wait, Then I can start over. What do you think of a Muddy V9? I love the head though.

Seriously, I can do whatever changes you want me to do. It shouldn't be hard. I just need to practice more. This is why I'm here. To learn. And you're teaching. Lead away! :D

@Muddykip64: all I want you to start off doing, is by making clothing that ISN'T skin tight. it doesn't have to be massively baggy, or to far off the skin, but right now, it looks as if he has no groin. focus on making clothing, and we'll work from there

I love the actual design itself, so theres no need to go overboard with that. You have the basic look down, now it's simply a case of fleshing it out, and making it better.

as for the custom thing, thats completely understandable. Most people don't feel ready for it for a LONG time. Personally, I could never go back to edits. I was always worse at those than I was am at customs, yet I know some people would rather making dramatic, awe inspiring edits than customs. Just take your time, and small baby steps, and you'll get there in no time.

@spark th: Thanks! And by the way, he does have no groin, so that's justified.
